Martina Miterpáková is a senior researcher and head of the Laboratory of Veterinary Parasitology at the Institute of Parasitology of the Slovak Academy of Sciences. Her main research interests include the epidemiology and control of parasitozoonoses, with an emphasis on canine dirofilariosis, along with the diagnosis of parasitic infections in domestic and wild animals. She participates in continuing educational activities for veterinary practitioners.
